This is the fourth of five drawings with gun powder, torch, and wood burner that I've done. The fifth one isn't done yet, but it is called Diana and Her Hound. It is beautiful, and I hope to finish it without wrecking it. This drawing, Tankers' Nightmare, has heavy content for me, but I feel safe sharing here--just as I did at the Gathering I attended.

…So I started using gun powder to burn with. I start by spreading powder all over the paper and lighting it. Then I do it again. Then I let the images ask (or sometimes scream) to be let out. Then I keep working the image like an etching, only in reverse. I love the softness that I can achieve.
And I have to let go. There is little control in the process until the details are put in. This is very similar to TD in that you make the marks the universe guides you to and you dress up what y…

This is a burning that I did. All of the tones are made with heat. It is 30"x22.5" on watercolor paper. It's interesting - I just got an email from Dana who wrote to you right below this, saying she had JUST had some kind of breakthrough expereince with doing or facilitating TD - She is going to send more details soon.
it's also really good to hear that a Waldorf school is open to Touch Drawing - if they continue and integrate TD into the classroom, I would REALLY love to have thgat written up, to open the way for other Waldorf Schools. Maybe in one of their publications. Keep me posted on how it goes with them, please.
It's wonderful to feel the thread of connection through this community - Deborah
Anyway - I'll be sure to contact you when I'm in FL - it will be great to see you! :)
